Anaxagoras

 

Philosopher (500 BC – 428 BC)

Anaxagoras was a Pre-Socratic Greek Philosopher who devised the cosmological concept of Nous or mind and the ordering force. He lived in Athens and although he held property and political influence it is believed he gave it all away to seek knowledge and become a greater philosopher.
